For 27 years, SEMSO, manufacturer of industrial machinery, has been designing its grippers to handle its customers' products.
Our first grippers were coupled to automated mechanical systems, and today they equip all our robotized cells.
A gripper is assembled on the robot's wrist. It can be operated pneumatically, mechanically or electrically to close it on the product to be picked up.
Venturi or vacuum pump grippers are generally used for products with rigid, non-deformable surfaces; as soon as the vacuum is activated, the product is sucked up by the surface in contact (suction cup or empty box), enabling handling by the robot.
Other collaborative grippers are integrated or designed by SEMSO to meet the technical requirements of clamping force and ergonomic design, so as not to injure the operator near or in contact with the collaborative robot.
Grippers with electric grippers are managed and driven by controllers to limit gripping effort and manage their opening and closing strokes.
There are also grippers that combine 2 or 3 technologies (pneumatic, mechanical, electric...).
SEMSO manufactures and designs the industrial gripper according to the weight of the object to be handled. Our aim is to facilitate robots so that handling can be carried out easily and without obstacles. We offer several gripping devices for your industry.
This gripper system performs linear or rotary movements to handle parts. This solution has just two positions: open or closed. With compressed air, the gripper opens and closes in parallel on the object.
This machine consists of one or more electric motors that also perform linear or rotary movements. The amplitude of the gripper in closed and open position is easily adaptable thanks to a dedicated program.
This gripper or vacuum system is often exploited for palletizing product after packaging. With a vacuum of air, it can suck up any type of product: cartons, trays of fresh produce, very common in the food industry.
There are also magnetic grippers with magnets and electromagnetic grippers with an electrical power source. This solution can only be used for metal objects or boxes.
The heart of robotics lies in the reliability, ergonomics and quality of its grippers. SEMSO has chosen to develop them since its creation in order to be autonomous and control its entire process. Thanks to the experience we've built up over the years, we can meet our customers' robotization requirements.
Our aim is to ensure product gripping without the slightest loss of product quality and quantity.

SEMSO designs, manufactures and integrates customized industrial grippers for its customers. These gripping systems are very important for catching, manipulating, and moving objects in industrial robotics. Discover our unique grippers, tailor-made to suit your projects.
At SEMSO we design grippers in our workshops to suit every need. After a study of your needs, the design office will take charge of designing customized equipment to perfectly meet your objective.
SEMSO is amanufacturer of custom industrial grippers, designed to adapt to automated production environments requiring reliable, precise gripping adapted to the diversity of products handled. Our grippers can be integrated into robotic arms, Cartesian gantry cranes or collaborative cobots, and are specifically developed according to constraints of shape, weight, material, speed and working environment.
The SEMSO approach stands out for its comprehensive engineering capability, combining mechanics, pneumatics, electronics and sometimes machine vision to create gripping devices totally tailored to your application. Unlike standardized solutions on the market, each SEMSO gripper is designed from precise functional specifications and validated by 3D simulations.
We develop grippers using mechanical grippers, suction cups, centralized vacuum, electromagnets or articulated finger devices. Where necessary, our solutions integrate force, position or presence sensors, to guarantee fine control of handling and prevent product damage, even on irregular shapes or fragile materials.
Our grippers are designed to meet the most demanding requirements.
Our grippers are used in high-stress sectors: food processing (bare or packaged products), plastics processing, logistics, cosmetics, technical parts. They are designed for dry, humid, cold or hygienic environments, with adapted materials (stainless steel, anodized aluminum, technical polymers).
